Postpartum Recipes: Restoration Tonic

Is it a smoothie? A juice? Ah…the sweet spot in between.

This tasty drink is a favorite of Doula Jen’s family. It’s a great way to get your daily greens and also offers intense hydration, potassium and iron — three things that need replenishing after childbirth! Oh! And antioxidants for days…

Liquefy in a high power blender or bullet:

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1 – 2 cups coconut water
  • 2 cups raw baby spinach, firmly packed

That’s it! Make this a meal by adding Greek yogurt and/or 1 tsp. coconut oil.
