In-Home Lactation Consultations
Enjoy a visit from a Lactation Specialists (IBCLC, CLC, CLEC) in the comfort of your own home. During the session the Lactation Specialist will take a detailed history, observe 1-2 feeds, weigh the baby and correct latch and positioning as needed.
In addition to addressing any acute issues that prompted your call, during your session, your Lactation Specialist:
- Takes a thorough assessment of the breastfeeding relationship
- Teaches new holds, including side lying and laid back positioning
- Provides helpful suggestions for creating calm, confidence and success around breastfeeding
- Helps you determine optimal night feeding and sleeping arrangements for greater comfort and relaxation
- Assesses your nutritional needs to support breastfeeding

Additional time is available as needed and is charged in 15-minute increments. This service is perfect for moms who are traveling, have questions about stool color or consistency, have a well-established nursing relationship but are experiencing sudden changes in feeding patterns or milk supply, and those returning to work.

Breastmilk Storage Guidelines & Recommendations
- • Do not re-freeze breastmilk
- • Use/refrigerate warmed milk within 1 hour
- • You can add fresh milk to frozen if there is less fresh milk than frozen milk
- • When away: Pump as often as you would feed!
