Women are born caregivers, so it comes as no surprise that our clients often try to turn the tables and take care of their doula! This may come in the form of extra water in the tea kettle, an invitation to the gooey batch of brownies on the counter, or a hug after a bout with traffic. It’s wonderful, of course, even though we’re there to take care of mama…not the other way around!

Had to share the latest thoughtful mama gesture. So cute, so sweet, and hilarious! On one overnight with this family I sat in the laundry room on a blanket on the floor so I would hear the baby when he woke up, just next door.
